@SizweLo @Malome_ZA As way back as April, Ghana has been raising the issue of Afrophobia, summoning the South African ambassador, arranging for relocation of its citizens under attacks. Now we are to believe that Ghana started acting after the 5th May, really?

Philippi — this has to stop. Rags, rubble and foreign objects combined to form this massive blockage ball pulled from a sewer line in in Philippi. 2730 blockages this financial year. Cost: over R5,6 million. Irresponsible behaviour hurts everyone. 📞 0860 103 089

@WandileSihlobo @Mngxitama2 Kinda see mngxitama's point although he came at u vigorously. U seem to speak for white commercials farmer more than anyone else. Which is fair bcoz thats where the money and majority of production is takes places but there are 1000s of black farmers who can gain from ur insights

This is an unfair comment, @Mngxitama2 -- the poverty challenges that millions of South Africans are in are not an agricultural challenge per se, but a broader socioeconomic problem. It is true that South Africa has an excellent agricultural sector and produces more than we need; in fact, about half of what we produce is exported. The fact that we export half of what we produce does not imply that we do not keep food for the domestic market. We have enough supplies for the domestic market and export the surplus. The South African food insecurity challenges are mainly at the household level. At a national level, we are food secure as a country, the most food secure country in the sub-Saharan Africa region. The challenge of household food insecurity is not that food is more expensive in South Africa than in other parts of the world; rather, many households lack income. We have an income poverty problem in South Africa. So indeed, agriculture can play a role in resolving our food insecurity problem at the household level through job creation, and we must also continue to support smallholder farming, which supplements household food needs, and gardening. Still, the broad challenge that we all face is about how to grow the economy and create jobs. The agricultural sector holds the potential to create jobs. We are a country with 2.5 million hectares of land that can be fully utilised for agriculture, and we need to ensure we take advantage of this opportunity. Other jobs can also be created within the agricultural value chain. But most importantly, their solution to our food insecurity problem requires a more comprehensive socioeconomic approach than just agriculture; we have an income-poverty problem.
ANDILE MNGXITAMA (MP)@Mngxitama2

@WandileSihlobo well your favourite racist agriculture is unable to feed over 10 million blacks whilst making millions in exports! Your people are evil and you provide cover for them. Shameful and evil!

@GovernmentZA Thanks for finally admitting theres a problem. A serious problem! Instead of gaslighting us with xenophobia when we seek to address these issues. Also just bcoz its also happening "elsewhere" doesn't make it right. No documentation = deportation! Zero tolerance; the only way...

U speak as if ppl from these areas arent SAns, therefore not deserving of descent living conditions. This city was built by workers from Capeflats

@pallnandi Also workers earn wages they then spend on the same products and services the AI crazed companies produce. So if they replace workers who will buy from them?

@gatvolsaffer @CityofCT I may be funny to naturally dumb ppl. 🤣 The fact that u think residents are the cause for overflowing sewage around the city is proof u haven't a clue what u on about. These are the same guys who for years failed to address sewage spilling into the ocean in Blouberg? GTFOH! 😂

@Rifak_Mod @CityofCT Are you naturally dumb or just trying to be funny? Blocked storm water drains result in flooding during the rainy season. This leads to property damage and in some cases a loss of life. This is easily preventable - hence the City’s request. Stop trying to find fault everywhere
