This is crypto’s most expensive design flaw. Not a hack. Not an exploit. Just one unwritten line: “Requires internet.” Billions excluded, not by cost or complexity, but by assumption. The fix is simple in theory: Remove the dependency. ➧ Sign locally ➧ Relay via mesh (BLE) ➧ Settle when online Pollinet is built for this reality. Not when the internet works, but when it doesn’t.

Internet access is not guaranteed. ➧ Shutdowns ➧ Disasters ➧ Power failures ➧ Rural connectivity gaps. When it breaks, the chain still runs. But the user is locked out. The failure isn’t in the system. It’s in access.

Every blockchain ever built shares one silent flaw. It only works if the user is online. This is a classic silent dependency. It’s never written down. Never tested. Never designed around. The system works perfectly until the assumption breaks. And it breaks more often than we admit.
