Heinecke played 15 minutes of lacrosse and got a whole year of eligibility taken away, causing him to successfully attempt to get another year of eligibility. Huge decision for the Sooners. Owen Heinecke's legal counsel replied to the NCAA's rebuttal with a 10-page response on Friday, including comparing Heinecke's case for eligibility versus Laurence Seymore, who was recently given another year of eligibility after transferring to Texas.

Update: They just set the emergency hearing date for 4-16-2026 at 8:30am before Judge Balkman. One week before the NFL Draft.
