Why is it ok for a University in 21st-century to organise racially segregated events? If it said " open to White Heritage students only", it would RIGHTFULLY be condemned. Why the double standard?

Samiksha's State of the Debate
1/ They lied to my face. Turned down a PAID degree apprenticeship at a top investment bank — salary + free degree. Advisers: “Uni is the proper path. Apprenticeships are for losers.” I believed them. Now I’m trapped in Labour’s GRADUATE SUCCESS TAX. A total scam. 🧵

Let us do what David Olusoga doesn’t do. Let’s be fair. Viewers of his three-part BBC 2 series, ‘Empire’, do learn many things that are true about the British Empire. Positive truths are voiced. But they’re all incidental to the central story, which is overwhelmingly negative, as the sinister music growling in the background signals. Read my original critique of Olusoga's 'Empire' at The Biggar Picture: nigelbiggar.co.uk/p/olusogas-emp…

I have decided to escalate my complaint against the BBC over David Olusoga’s Empire. Its first response was dismissive and unsatisfactory. It misreported my argument, answered straw men of its own making, and failed to reckon seriously with the Corporation’s own standards of impartiality. This is no longer only a question about one tendentious programme. It is also a question about whether the BBC is willing to confront serious criticism honestly, accurately, and in the spirit of the editorial standards it expects others to respect. The idea that it is inherently rightwing to support women's rights to exist as a sex class; to oppose homophobia and reject the idea that men can be lesbians; and to oppose telling children they were born in the "wrong bodies" is one of the most insane ideas of our insane time.

The hyperbolic language of "policing toilets" is used to sow confusion and panic. Services should have rules and enforce them, as they do for things like health & safety rules. Let's get away from semantic nonsense about "policing" and "enforcing". Just follow the law.

The Irish people have awoken. They have launched a revolt against carbon taxes, eco-lunacy and government corruption. And they are furious with out-of-control immigration. They have landed a brilliant blow against globalist madness, says Brendan O’Neill buff.ly/AiUdrwj

Some of us suspected brutal #Southport murders were preventable. Our concerns dismissed as stoking up grievances & worse. But it's still shocking, shaming, heartbreaking to hear it officially, & like Nottingham stabbings, to realise authorities could've stopped tragedies & didn't
Ross Kempsell@RossKempsell

Imagine the horror of your children being murdered or injured at their dance class and then for the inquiry to determine the attack could have been prevented if the authorties heeded “clearly, repeatedly and unambiguously signposted” warnings. Major change needed

The BBC has covered the Jennifer Melle story. But it failed to mention that the man the nurse 'misgendered' was a convicted paedophile who was being transferred from a high-security men's prison, or that he tried to headbutt her (while repeatedly calling her the N-word)

Schools should be places of learning and yes, discipline. I am sick and tired of society having to pander to the lowest common denominator in the name of inclusivity. What has happened to parental responsibility? Unruly children should not be allowed to disrupt the education of others. Reform will bring order and respect back to the classroom. telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/04/1…

Hit 2K followers - thank you. These aren’t just numbers. They’re people who’ve heard my story and said “enough”: a British student nearly destroyed for calling a keffiyeh a tea towel. Suspended last year, almost lost my degree, only saved by the High Court - Royal Courts of Justice. You heard it, I’m back, fighting, and doing damn well. Grateful to the absolute legends standing with free speech 🇬🇧 #FreeSpeech

Sadiq Khan wants to shutter Social Media even further We already have the Online Safety Act a Censors dream He wants to stop "the outrage economy" - those pumping "disinformation" about London...he has written to social media firms demanding change, said a lack of action could prompt more domestic terrorism by people who believe conspiracy theories they find online.. Wait what? Is this Gaslighting in the highest order? 7 July 2005: Four bombs carried by jihadi suicide bombers explode on tube trains and a bus in London, killing 56 people including the attackers. 21 July 2005: Four jihadi bombers fail to detonate their explosives on London transport system. June 2007: Two car bombs, packed with petrol, gas cylinders and nails, discovered in central London close to nightclubs in al-Qaida-inspired plot. The devices failed to ignite. June 2007: Several days later the same al-Qaida group drove a car into the glass doors of Glasgow airport. One of the attackers died and five people suffered minor injuries. May 2008: A Muslim convert tried to detonate a bomb in the toilet of a cafe in Exeter, injuring himself. No one else was hurt. May 2013: Fusilier Lee Rigby murdered by two Islamist extremists in Woolwich , south London. December 2015: Three people stabbed in Leytonstone tube station, east London, by an attacker shouting ”This is for Syria”. 3 June 2017: London Bridge Terror Attack car ramming & stabbing Eight people were killed and forty-eight were injured, On 29 November 2019, five people were stabbed- The attacker was identified as Usman Khan, a 28-year-old British national from Stoke-on-Trent, of Pakistani descent, The two who died from their stab wounds were Jack Merritt (25) and Saskia Jones (23 yrs old) This move is a further attempt to shut down criticism and opinions Mayor doesn't like. Don't try to use those in fear - people who don't have bulletproof cars and have to deal with daily issues know what's going on. Sure, some are hyperbolic. But you've just demonstrated your own version of presenting a narrative the way you want it seen - and not conforming to what has happened.... is that 'dis' or 'mis' information...? No to more censorship!
Sadiq Khan@SadiqKhan

Disinformation about London has become a global industry. The new “outrage economy” is growing - and it’s eating away at the bonds that hold our society together. That's why I'm calling for urgent action from social media companies and government. theguardian.com/media/2026/apr…
