@aaraam_pasand also they are very rare people who are so tensed in college life the topper in this movie is shown as someone who memorises everything but in real life the college toppers specially of engineering colleges are way cool and there projects also are very realistic

As a teenager, I thought 3 Idiots was one of the greatest films ever made. After graduating college, it feels overly simplistic and black and white in its approach (though with high repeat value):
> Suhas and Chatur are portrayed as soul-less & status obsessed robots, but most "MBA abroad/corporate" people I have met are normal, interesting humans with hobbies and personalities. Wanting money or stability isn't morally inferior as this or most of our surroundings teach us.
> Joy's suicide arc also feels unrealistic and over exaggerated...no serious engineering college would reject a working project like that so casually.

Rajkumar Hirani films work emotionally, but as social commentary they often flat. Just like PK, it paints extremely narrow and black and white picture of the world.

Appreciation post for Chatur "Silencer" Ramalingam As kids, we laughed at Chatur and thought he was just a joke and a machine. Growing up makes you realize Chatur was probably carrying a pressure most of us never noticed. Not everyone can be a Rancho though Some people don't have the luxury to fail, experiment, or take big risks. They study hard because they are scared. Scared of disappointing their parents. Scared of staying behind. Scared of losing opportunities they may never get again. Chatur wasn't chasing grades because he loved marks. He was chasing security. He believed that if he worked harder than everyone else, life would become a little easier. We made fun of his memorization, but the truth is millions of students grow up exactly like him. Doing whatever it takes to survive in a system that doesn't always reward creativity. And maybe that's why Chatur hits differently as an adult. Because one day you realize that behind all the jokes was just a guy trying his best to make his family proud. ❤️
