I’ve mentioned on @thePHIspecial in recent weeks that I believe an A.J. Brown trade is far more likely to happen in 2026. But if a team is going to make an aggressive offer at the trade deadline, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Philadelphia take the dead cap hit now.

Eagles RB Dameon Pierce was asked by @kracze if he is still the same tough, physical running back that he was before the injuries.
“I would like to think so,” Pierce said with a laugh.

Bingo! Dameon Pierce feels like direct competition for Will Shipley at RB3.
Pierce is more of a proven rusher but may not have the receiving upside that Shipley does.
Pierce has averaged 32.8 yards per kickoff return on 20 attempts during his four-year NFL career.

Eagles TE Stone Smartt has two receiving touchdowns in his four-year NFL career (one in the regular season and one in the preseason).
Ironically, both were against the Packers with new Eagles TE coach Ryan Mahaffey on Green Bay’s sideline.
