Christie Wood is in her 27th season video scouting for Major League Baseball's Draft Operations. Beginning her career in 2000, she was the first woman to hold an on-field scouting position with what was known then as MLB's Scouting Bureau. During her tenure, Wood has scouted numerous players who have gone on to become MLB stars including Mike Trout, Bryce Harper, David Wright, Justin Verlander and Jacob deGrom. Of the increased role of women in scouting, Wood says, "There's been a boom, and it's great to see. I've always tried to be an ambassador for the sport and for what I do." #WomensHistoryMonth
