Shaykh Nasser al-Qatami was asked: “How was the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ in his Qur’an recitation?” He shared that Umm Salamah رضي الله عنها described the Prophet’s voice as having ṣaḥal—a gentle, natural huskiness that carried sweetness (not something to force). And while we can’t copy his exact voice, we can follow his method. Five landmarks of prophetic recitation ﷺ: 1. Madd: When he ﷺ recited an āyah, he would extend its endings—not rush them—giving space for reflection and presence. 2. Pause at verse endings: He ﷺ would stop at the heads of the āyāt, only connecting them when needed. This makes meaning land, and it opens the door to contemplation. 3. Clarity, letter by letter: His ﷺ recitation was mufassarah: articulated, distinct, not “swallowed.” The opposite is hadr—rushing so letters get eaten. Fast recitation can be permissible (like in some tarāwīḥ), but the Prophet’s most common style was clarity and measured pacing. 4. Taḥzīn: Some narrations mention he would recite with a tone of heartfelt sadness—especially with verses about death, the Hereafter, and accountability—so the Qur’an is felt, not merely heard. 5. No performance: His ﷺ recitation was simple, sincere, unforced—no artificial dramatization. The Sunnah is khushū‘ without theatrics. Read like this, and the Qur’an becomes not just recited… but felt.

A heartbreaking scene 💔 Their Grandfather loved to hear his grandchild's voice while reciting the Qur'an, and when he passed away, the grandchild decided to say goodbye with the voice he once loved hearing. May Allah have mercy on his soul and grant him Jannatul Firdaus...

What an incredible hadith! Ibn Umar reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The most beloved people to Allah are those who are most beneficial to people. The most beloved deed to Allah is to make a Muslim happy, or remove one of his troubles, or forgive his debt, or feed his hunger. That I walk with a brother regarding a need is more beloved to me than that I seclude myself in this mosque in Medina for a month. Whoever swallows his anger, then Allah will conceal his faults. Whoever suppresses his rage, even though he could fulfill his anger if he wished, then Allah will secure his heart on the Day of Resurrection. Whoever walks with his brother regarding a need until he secures it for him, then Allah Almighty will make his footing firm across the bridge on the day when the footings are shaken.”

"I send a message to the whole world to stand by me and every Palestinian hostage" chuffed.org/project/136892… Imagine losing a leg and then getting imprisoned and then losing your eyesight. That’s what happened to Mahmoud Abu Foul at the age of 28. He was abducted from Kamal Adwan hospital on December 27th and endured 8 months of brutal torture, beatings and humiliation. Mahmoud like many other returned hostages isn’t getting the proper medical care and can’t get a prosthetic leg as it is not available in Gaza. Borders need to open for doctors and field hospitals to provide adequate treatment. Till then, The Sameer Project are providing medical care through our Sawarha medical point and medical treatment camp to Mahmoud and others like him. Meanwhile, we gave Mahmoud dressings and medications worth $68 and cash aid. We are looking to support the released hostages with medical and mental health care. Please support and donate to the medical campaign through our Chuffed link: chuffed.org/project/136892… Other ways to donate include: paypal.me/mahertali (Paypal option, please make sure to add a message saying "Medical") account.venmo.com/u/Maher-Ali (Venmo option, please make sure to add a message saying "Medical")

Imam Sa’adi mentions some of the difficult circumstances Yusuf faced at the time when he was being called to do zina: Firstly; Allaah has placed in man’s nature an inclination towards a woman, just like the inclination of a thirsty person towards water and that of a hungry person towards food… Yusuf (at the time) was a young man, and the sexual desire of a young man is much stronger. He was a bachelor. He was a slave of the Azeez’s wife and was bought for a few dirhams. And a slave has no control over his affairs. He was a stranger in the land; a stranger in a strange land can fulfil desires, which he is not able to fulfil in his own land and in the presence of his family and those who know him well. The wife of the Azeez was a woman of high status and beauty; so one these two (affairs) calls one to agree with her request. The wife of the Azeez was not inaccessible. She sought after Yusuf; she desired him and was infatuated with him.  Many, many men become filled with vanity/pride when a woman (merely) waves or winks at them! Yusuf was living in her house. He was under her authority and would have feared being harmed for refusing to obey her in what she was calling him to. Yusuf was safe from being exposed; because she sought after him and locked the doors. She also appeared in her best adornment and said to Yusuf: Come on forward (to my body)! She also threatened Yusuf with imprisonment and belittlement. She sought the assistance of the rest of the women and Yusuf sought the assistance of Allaah against them!
