Its been a busy couple of days dealing with the aftermath of the verdicts against Chris Nineham and me. First of all a huge thankyou to the mass of people who have been in touch to share love and solidarity and their sense of outrage at the judgement. Some reflections:

Arbitrary arrest and imprisonment are central features of Israel’s military occupation and apartheid regime, which Barclays is complicit in through its financing of companies arming Israel, and its agreement to help Israel sell government bonds. (3/3)

This day of action takes place the day after Palestinian Prisoners’ Day, which is held to uplift Palestinian prisoners’ calls for freedom. 10,000+ Palestinians are illegally imprisoned by Israel, facing systematic torture and ill-treatment. (2/3)

Our movement will not be silenced. PSC Director @BenJamalpsc speaks outside court after he and @ChrisNineham were found guilty for organising a peaceful protest for Palestine. This decision is shocking and a huge attack on civil liberties in Britain. The fight is not over 🇵🇸

The judge has ruled that Ben Jamal and Chris Nineham are guilty on all charges. This is a disgraceful decision. We will follow up soon with a full statement. Our right to protest is precious, and is undermined by this decision, but the fight is not over.

Today, hundreds are outside Westminster Magistrates court for the verdict in the trial of PSC's Ben Jamal and @STWuk Chris Nineham. There should be no convictions for organising peaceful Palestine protests.
