Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month ‘26 Post #29 Success Connection I apologize for the late post, but I had the opportunity to celebrate another successful football campaign today with the great community of Scituate. I am very fortunate to have received a 3rd State Title ring today from Scituate and my 5th overall (More on that to come) While many measure success through championships, rings and trophies I try to measure my success through connections. The connection I have mad through high school athletics has been amazing. I have made some lifelong friends and have had the opportunity to work with some great student-athletes. However, the connections I have made with the community of Scituate is amazing,. What started as small modest campaign to bring awareness to Cerebral Palsy, has turn into so much bigger and I have Scituate Football to thank. What was a gesture during an uncertain time turn into a moment that I will never forget. During my 2nd year at Scituate and through the generosity of a local business we we able to give green t-shirts to the players during the Covid year to bring awareness to CP. However, what happen next blew me away. A community that I have been just introduced to, stood not behind me but beside me to help bring awareness to Cerebral Palsy. They promoted the hell out of it and continue to do so to this day!! All for a guy who just writes numbers! So while many will remember the connections like Donovan to Foley, or Donovan to Shea. I will remember the successful connections that have gone beyond the field. Super excited to share that a couple weeks ago Butch Stearns from Fox 25 sat down with me and my family to talk about Cererbal Palsy Awareness and life growing up around sports and how I had to adapt to stay in the game as my playing career was cut short It is airing today at 345 and 445 and possibly again at 545 and 645. I’ve been blessed to have great platforms to spread my message about inclusion for people with disabilities and can’t thank Mr Stearns enough for the opportunity to spread my message!
