My heart is full—full of gratitude for those who brought this documentary to life and full of love for the people who made the journey so extraordinary. You start out just wanting to win that first tournament. Then one day, you look back and realize the journey of a champion became something far greater than trophies or titles. This is my story… of how a young boy from Africa dared to conquer the world.

What a meaningful event spent with friends of our Gary and Vivienne Player Foundation USA! Thank you to all the professional golfers, guests and sponsors who came out to support our mission. The spirit of giving was ever-present and witnessing this shared commitment to helping young people from underserved communities gives me great hope for the future. GP

There is something very special about arriving in a place where purpose brings people together. An evening like this reminds me that the greatest success in life is not measured in trophies, but in the lives we are able to positively impact. To be amongst people who believe in giving back, who understand the importance of lifting others up, is something I appreciate deeply. We must never forget that when we invest in children, we invest in the future. GP

Last month the DLF Golf & Country Club hosted a marquee event on the DP World Tour and every year the course seems to create a lot of buzz. Our de​​sign intent was to create a captivating and memorable golf course that would achieve world-class standards. Each hole is distinctive and memorable, something we always strive for when designing a golf experience that captures the imagination. The course features an immense amount of variety and strategic interest, highlighted by iconic revetted bunkers, a dramatic rock quarry, a large lake, compelling contouring, and breathtaking vistas. What makes the achievement even more remarkable is that the entire landscape began as flat ground. To transform that blank canvas into 18 holes of championship golf is truly extraordinary. The experience is intentionally thought-provoking, offering a wide range of shot values that challenge players to think strategically throughout the round. Every hole offers something unique, continually engaging the player’s attention from the first tee to the final green. It is deeply rewarding to know that we were able to creatively design a golf experience that is not only unforgettable but one that continues to be talked about by golfers around the world every year. I am looking forward to the annual Gary and Vivienne Player Foundation USA event this week. It is always great to see friends both new and old come together and support the upliftment of children in the United States. Gratitude. GP

A great day with @Rolex at the Masters #Rolex #RolexFamily

The Par 3 Contest at the Masters is incredibly special for many reasons. The ability to enjoy the tradition with family is one of those reasons. As you can imagine, there is a bit of family competition to see who will be on the bag, having six children, 22 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren (so far!). But each Wednesday of Masters week is truly special for all families and produces memories for a lifetime. GP

It gave me tremendous joy watching Rory McIlroy compete at Augusta. What pleases me greatly, on a personal level, is the dedication he has shown to his fitness throughout his career. I have always believed that discipline in the gym translates directly to longevity and performance on the golf course. To see a man of similar stature commit himself so fully to strength and conditioning, and then perform at this level year after year, is deeply satisfying. Yes, his power off the tee is a tremendous advantage, but make no mistake, he won this championship with his putting. That is where tournaments are decided, and Rory rose to the occasion beautifully on the greens when it mattered most. It was also wonderful to see Scottie make such a spirited charge, and Justin Rose once again gave himself a real opportunity. That is the beauty of golf, experience and determination can never be underestimated. The tournament itself was thrilling, but what touched me most was seeing Rory’s family there supporting him. Moments like that remind us what truly matters. And what I admired above all was how much he appreciated the victory. Enthusiasm is one of the great secrets to life and to success. Congratulations on back-to-back Masters victories, Rory. I wish you continued health, happiness and many more major championships to come. GP

Three wins. A lifetime of memories. Gary Player made his 68th trip to Augusta National this year. There is one story with Seve Ballesteros from his third Masters win that sticks out.

68 years coming to Augusta for the Masters and 15 as an Honorary Starter. To Augusta National, the patrons, the staff, the press, the volunteers, my fellow starters Jack and Tom, and fans around the world, words cannot describe how much love you give each and every year and the gratitude that fills my heart. Vivienne would have turned 89 last week, and though I miss her terribly, I know she would be proud of the work we are continuing at the Blair Atholl School in South Africa. One of her final wishes was for the school to be looked after in perpetuity. She had such a passion for helping children, a mom of six herself. That brought her so much joy. GP

One of the main differences of the game today compared to my prime is the equipment. That’s why it is so difficult to compare players of different eras, it’s a different game. Equipment advances have improved the game for every golfer, including myself as I would not have been able to play at the level i do today if the equipment had not advanced as it has and for that i am thankful. GP

Ben Hogan said, “Any time you hit a straight shot, it’s a fluke.” You got to either draw or fade the ball. Don’t ever try to hit it straight. You can stand on the practice tee and hit 30 balls, if you hit 10 straight, you’re doing pretty well. But if you follow your swing, you can draw or fade all 30. GP #PXGTroops
