We fell for a massive con-trick when Johnson persuaded us to allow him to stay on as "caretaker PM". Why did we fall for it? We should've insisted he go and a #GeneralElection be called.

Truss has said she will not be helping people manage the cost of living crisis with extra cash payments this autumn. Apparently cuts to corporation tax and national insurance, both of which will largely benefit the best off, will have to do instead.

Can We please stop demonising people on benefits? Loads of us either physically can't work or do work but don earn enough through wages to actually live on. The Tories know this and yet we seem to be just another easy target for their campaign to find enemies.

I would politely urge the Conservative party to a v quick succession process. We need a working administration at speed. This Winter will be catastrophic, pushing millions into poverty with typical energy bills rising to £3,000/yr. We need leaders in office taking action asap.

Johnson should not be allowed to stay a minute beyond the decision to go. Caretaker should be appointed. He should not be allowed to use Chequers to write books at our expense. He should not be allowed to deliver resignation honours to put more spies, crooks, donors in the Lords

Some are talking of Johnson remaining till October or November. That’s completely unsustainable. It’s dangerous for the UK.

Resigning ministers get an exit payment equal to 1/4 of their ministerial salary. Has anyone totalled up the cost of the last 36 hours to the tax payer as a result of the Prime Minister’s intransigence and limpet like quality?
