The Suzuki line has been outscored 10 to 3 at 5v5, why do we need to pretend this isn't the case. The Habs need them to step up against the Hurricanes, it's simple as that.

@JFreshHockey Suzy’s line has done a great job of shutting down oppositions best players, at the cost of their own production. Makes more sense when you include the fact that Alex Newhook leads the league in 5v5 goals and that Evans and Gules lead the league in 5v5 primary points.

think that's one of the main factors, bc of the lack of a true 2C means teams can hard match their best defenders vs Suzuki's + his relative lack of footspeed and his willingness to make the right play over the riskier but higher value one makes it hard to dominate the best teams

@yolo_pinyato Much of that is stylistic. Likes to slow down the play and look for passing options. 90+ percentile speed with excellent edge work.
If you watch him track defensively against top tier skaters, he keeps up.

@TheRealPOC has good straight line speed but is not able to consistently beat defenses with strong skaters to create rush shots and needs more time to process decisions quickly than the true burners like mcdavid/mackinnon etc.
