OOC as a latina, I think this is not a good take. I was born and raised in a country in South America. I speak differently, I eat different foods, and my views were made by what I've lived. White people have enough representation as its. Why are people mad that we get some too?

I didn't see anyone complain about recasting Eleven as someone who isn't white. And maybe I'm missing context, and if I am, do say.

/ hey so now that people are recasting eleven maybe don’t be fucking racists and/or xenophobes. we have no idea who el’s biological father is, she can be asian, black biracial, have latin roots, etc. y’all are getting too comfortable saying she can only be recasted as white.

/ i saw accounts speaking about eleven not being fully white “making no sense” and they were heavily focusing on the ones of latin roots. the worst part was the amount of likes they got.
