This should be a much bigger story.
The Trump administration is about to hand TotalEnergies, a French oil company, nearly $1 billion of your money to cancel its American offshore wind projects. And they are pulling the cash from an account they are not allowed to use this way.
Here is how it works. The government has something called the Judgment Fund. Think of it as an emergency savings account for when the government loses a lawsuit or settles a real legal fight. It is not a checkbook the President can use whenever he feels like rewarding a company.
To get around that rule, the administration is pretending TotalEnergies was about to sue. But TotalEnergies had no case. The company signed a contract in January 2025 with clear rules: the government cannot cancel these leases unless it first pauses the project for five years. The lease is less than four years old and was never paused. TotalEnergies agreed to those terms. There was no real lawsuit coming.
So the administration invented a fake legal threat to justify raiding an account Congress controls. That matters because the Constitution says Congress, not the President, decides how taxpayer money gets spent.
It gets worse. The White House claimed TotalEnergies would take the money and reinvest it in American oil and gas. The actual paperwork, now public, requires nothing of the kind. The company gets a billion dollars of taxpayer money and owes us nothing.
So Americans are paying a foreign oil company to shut down clean energy projects here at home, using money that was never supposed to be spent this way, with zero strings attached. That is illegal, unethical, and a scandal hiding in plain sight.

“Ready for some bullshit? You paid the the higher prices… They raised prices on you to cover the tariffs, kept prices high, and now they get the refund.
Also: 88 of the largest US corporations paid zero income tax in 2025.”

⚠️MAJOR BREAKING:
Major Gen. Paul Eaton (ret), issues a warning to all military personnel:
"Wiping out an entire civilization is the definition of genocide. Any order given to that effect must be refused by every service member up and down the chain - period. This is exactly what senators were talking about when they issued a video saying illegal orders must be refused. Now it may be time for service members to follow their recommendation."‼️

ICE is reckless and out of control.
A 27-year Army veteran with three tours in Afghanistan — Sgt. 1st Class Jose Serrano — watched ICE agents arrest his wife during a routine immigration appointment, even after they showed military IDs.
This cruelty must stop. We will not fund an agency that terrorizes the families of those who served our nation.

Dear @FBIDirectorKash: You may want to hire an attorney who is not a loser, and understands that there exists a spell check function.

Zohran Mamdani, quoting Tupac on Meet the Press:
"We always have money for war and not to feed the poor."
The Trump administration has spent $28 billion on the Iran war.
Yesterday veterans were handcuffed in the Capitol for opposing it.
The BBC published evidence that someone is making millions timing trades to Trump's war announcements.
The SAVE Act died on the Senate floor because Thune said there's "more pressing stuff."
Tupac said it in 1993. Mamdani said it this week.
The money is there.
It's just going somewhere else.
