Hannah Moscovitch shared a lovely message via IG: “The Vampire Lestat - season 3 of Interview with the Vampire - premieres on AMC and AMC+ today. Here are three behind the scenes photos of production, with two of the gorgeous directors Claudia Llosa and Craig Zisk, and the wildly talented costume designer Lex Wood - this is us figuring it all out on set. This season is special to me because of the amount of Canadian talent we were able to convince to join us on the show - a non complete list includes Amaka Umeh, Noah Reid, Damien Atkins, Sarah Afful, Chris Heyerdahl, Seamus Patterson, Sarah Swire, Nancy Palk, Amy Keating, Elise Bauman, Peter Outerbridge, David Patrick Flemming, Ella Ballentine, and Kaleb Horn. Also Anusree Roy the celebrated Canadian playwright and my dear friend joined us in the writing room. I got to work with the formidable Canadian director Alan Taylor who I have admired from a distance for so long, and who directed the pilot of IWTV and, um, Mad Men. And then of course the beautiful Canadian who pulled me into the show in 2021, Adam O'Byrne, and who was forced to be my best friend and produce wtih me. They were all so extraordinary... Another thing I could talk about is what it's like to be on set with the actors on our show who are beyond talented, soulful, beautiful, and who make me want to write my heart out...and lord lord wait until you meet the Queen... The artist pool on this show goes so deep... Andres Cubillan who creates insane immersive sets... ...Tami Lane who delivers the show's gore in the most chillingly jaw-dropping fashion. A note to say that I have never felt so good making art as with Daniel Hart, Ryan Kattner, Levan Akin and of course the genius writer, who is mentor, closest collaborator, ringmaster, and dear one, all those things at once, Rolin Jones. At ATX TV Festival, when asked about Gabriella being trans-coded on the show, Rolin Jones answered that he wrote her that way but had to change some things: for example, changing how Lestat refers to her from “Mon Cher” to “Ma Chère”. 📸: gorrei_vc
