You actually don't exist to suffer. Suffering is a sad fact of life, but it isn't life itself. It's something we endure, not something we embrace. Those who say otherwise have never experienced true suffering. When you grow up in poverty, the last thing you need to hear is that it is GOOD and NATURAL that you should suffer. No, you're "meant" to be happy. But you have to earn it.

Wait, so guy's voting record is immaculate and the last straw is he's friends with someone you dislike? Seems a bit extreme to me. I disagree with his support here, but I definitely see why he's doing it. He has to find allies where he can since his own party is coming after him. Enemy of my enemy.

Clearly what was meant was "natural." People can and do use them interchangeably, even if it's not the most accurate. She clearly meant it that way as well, so it was appropriate in this case. "My point is, little boys don't act like this ... But you guys act like it's completely normal." Had she meant "normal" in the literal sense, she would have said "This is uncommon behavior for little boys." She did not say that. She said they DON'T. As in, it isn't natural for them to behave this way. But it is. It's just ... An Outlier.

If there was an imminent threat from Iran, Tulsi’s answer would have been: yes. It’s as simple as that. She wouldn’t have tied herself into pretzels with the ridiculous claim that only a President can determine that. She literally puts out an annual threat assessment. The plain fact is that she lied. She’s lying us into a war that her career was supposedly dedicated to avoiding . I was wrong last summer, she’s substantially worse than Colin Powell. She’s a traitor to this nation.

Too many “conservatives” are okay with kids being gay. I’ve unfollowed a LOT of people who I thought were real conservatives because they’ve come out to attack me and @hannahf1776 for stating that kids should not be gay. This is why conservatives will never be taken seriously. You guys think we need to be “inclusive” .. no we do not need to be inclusive. And no, kids should not be gay. They should not even know what being gay is.

@Mx_Richie21 @rgsace I do think that the world shift thing is supposed to be in this new map. Pretty sure they said early on that it was not really designed for Sanctuary. So I'm excited to see what they do with this new map. That said ... I do prefer Sanctuary so far

@rgsace -World Shift is the best thing they've done for Sanctuary; it's a shame they're neglecting it. -Versions 1 and 2 of the new map are not competitive at all and make many heroes obsolete.

The idea that men alone have "set that system up," rather than the system developing naturally from how men and women interact with one another, is an overly simplistic take. If we go by that logic, then everything GOOD in society is also because of men. See? Simplistic. Not to mention, as others have said elsewhere, HE didn't set anything up. This is the problem when you see people as collectives rather than individuals. Her accusation that he has privilege in society because he's a man, but all the bad things that might happen to him are his own fault because others who have the same genitalia have created the system that brought those bad things about, is absurd. Again, simplistic. To agree with this kind of nonsense you have to be a simplistic thinker. Or not a thinker at all.

Conservatives and Right-Wingers bitch about bad storytelling in the propaganda stories we see in books and movies these days and I agree that it has gotten bad. But why then do these same people, when trying to tell their own stories, do the exact same shit? Just the Right-Wing version of it. It's like saying that Pepsi is unhealthy, then inventing Coke. Essentially the same formula, different color scheme. Bad stories see things through a political lens. Great stories see things through a philosophical lens.

Commies start with the conclusion, then work backward. “Wealth = wrongdoing” becomes the premise, so any argument that justifies taking from the wealthy gets treated as valid, no matter how thin. It’s less a theory of production and more a theory of access. The target is wherever the resources are, and the rhetoric adjusts to make taking seem moral. That’s why the arguments shift constantly but the direction never does. And it reveals the core gap: no serious focus on how wealth is created, only on how it can be redistributed.
