#BREAKING: Doug Ford was in such a rush to hide his phone records that his Freedom of Information changes quietly received royal assent this morning, on a Friday, with the Legislature not even sitting.
I have sent urgent letters to:
1. The Secretary of Cabinet
2. The RCMP
3. Ontario's Information and Privacy Commissioner
Each is being asked to act immediately to safeguard evidence related to the Greenbelt scandal before this government can destroy it.
As Premier, I will reverse these changes and restore transparency, trust, and faith in our democracy.

The Province has introduced legislation to unilaterally take City land at Bathurst and Queen's Quay. That includes paving over Little Norway Park - probably for a parking lot.
Council is meeting today, I am bringing an urgent motion to oppose it and fight back. Unilaterally taking City land is not acceptable. Who knows what they will take next.

An NDP Freedom of Information (FOI) request revealed that the Ford government spent $1,737,051.59 (pre-tax) on the Ontario Place ads between January 1 through November 18, last year. The government had refused to disclose the amount when asked by Global News last November.

I call BS.
Ford says his private jet could have been used to evacuate people.
But in an emergency, you want to get as many people out as possible. You don't want a 12-seat luxury jet that can only land at 10% of Ontario's airports.

These are the faces of our elected officials who voted to side with corporations over working people. Remember them.
Doug Ford, days after being caught buying a $30M private jet on the taxpayers dime, didn’t even bother to show up for the vote.
Shameful.
The Manitoba NDP government passed a similar bill, the Saskatchewan NDP is proposing it, and Canada’s NDP proposed it before it was shut down by the Federal Liberals – and now the Ontario NDP’s motion was defeated.
It’s clear that the NDP is the only party fighting to make life more affordable for people.
