A Somali migrant tried to behead a young man in Belfast last night. He almost succeeded. A video of the horrific attack went viral on social media yesterday. The victim survived the attack but was severely wounded. New reports claim the attacker is Sudanese and not Somali.

Hargeisa, Somaliland – The President of the Republic of #Somaliland has announced an immediate reduction in the price of water sold in the capital. In a statement issued Tuesday, the presidency declared that the cost of water will be cut by 5,000 Somaliland shillings — equivalent to 50 US cents — lowering the price from the previous 13,000 shillings (approximately $1.30) to about 8,000 shillings ($0.80). The move is intended to ease the financial burden on residents amid rising living costs. However, officials and residents alike acknowledge that the government-controlled Hargeisa Water Agency supplies piped water to only a minority of the city’s population. The majority of Hargeisa residents continue to rely on water delivered by private tankers, which operate outside the agency’s network and often draw from independent boreholes.

The Republic of #Somaliland government has announced that it will collect sales taxes through the merchant system for ZAAD, e-Dahab and other payment methods. 🚨 #Breaking - JERUSALEM / HARGEISA - Israeli daily Yedioth Ahronoth has reported that Republic of #Somaliland President Abdirahman Irro will travel to #Israel next week in what would be the first official visit by a Somaliland head of state to the country. According to the newspaper, President Cirro is expected to arrive on 15 June and remain until 17 June to preside over the formal inauguration of Somaliland’s embassy in Jerusalem. The Somaliland government has not yet issued an official statement confirming the dates or details of the visit.
