Class 4 had a great time this afternoon trying to separate substances using different methods, during a science workshop run by Urenco. We learnt about how scientists separate uranium and trialled different methods ourselves. We are now all budding scientists!

Antarctica enjoyed a fabulous Science Workshop with Urenco this morning. We learned all about how they separate the uranium and took part in many different investigations that involved separation techniques.

Team 5 had a brilliant day with Sarah from @spherescience who provided a detailed Science workshop on behalf of Urenco. The children learnt sieving, indicators, chromatography, centrifuge and even magnetism. Sarah has inspired the children to strive for a career in STEAM.#BSW24

Year 2 had another busy week with a 'Magnets & Materials' workshop, becoming scientists and investigating how a magnet moved a pipe cleaner through a maze. We examined spoons made from different materials, discussed their properties, predicted which were magnetic & tested them.
