Keeley Bunker was a 20 year old young woman from Tamworth who was raped and murdered by Wesley Streete, on 19 September 2019 after a night out celebrating her 20th birthday. She was a kind and trusting person who aspired to become a teaching assistant. She had known her killer, Wesley Streete, since infant school and felt safe walking home with him that night. Instead, Streete raped and strangled her in Wigginton Park, then hid her body face down in a brook under branches. He was convicted of her murder (along with rapes and sexual assaults against other women) in 2020 and sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 29 years.
