once again think it's interesting how people criticize abbotshimi as disrespectful to samira yet show zero concern about how a liberal tv show might portray a romance between an army vet and a mena woman directly affected by american imperialism if they were to go down that road

my main issue with abbotshimi is that i'm not a fan of the show equating abbot's experiences in the army to al-hashimi's as a humanitarian doctor. realistically she'd probably hesitate at first, especially as a brown woman. instead they had them bonding and flirting immediately
