I’ve watched about 6,000 Red Sox games since we got cable tv in the late 80’s. Listened to 100s more on AM radio before that.

Red Sox score one run again. Lose again. Everyday lineup is one of the worst in franchise history. Fans deserve so much better.

A member of the Boston Red Sox ownership group has personally been calling teams to try to trade for a right handed bat. He’s telling teams they’re willing to take on a bad contract. Per: @Buster_ESPN The Red Sox ownership has been described as “desperate”.

With Mickey Gasper’s emergence, Carlos Narváez’s playing time has dipped. Narváez started 106 games at catcher last year but has appeared in just four the team’s last 12 games. ‘It wasn’t expected’ nytimes.com/athletic/73407…

Alex Cora on his communication and support of Chad Tracy since being fired, via @Ken_Rosenthal: “It’s what we do… We are a fraternity, I learned that at a young age, and you have to pay it forward. You don’t forget that no matter your role in baseball… Chad has always been there for me. From the moment he joined the organization, I felt like I had a teammate who saw things the way I did and who was always willing to listen when I needed someone to talk to about team matters.”

The Red Sox have also fielded calls on relievers Aroldis Chapman, Justin Slaten and Garrett Whitlock, but have no interest in dealing anyone at the moment, per @jcmccaffrey. Chapman has been battling a hamstring injury as of late.

Kyle Harrison is just Milwaukee CC Sabathia I’m sick
