TGL live and in person: The GOOD, the BAD, and THE UGLY. I attended the TGL event last night and it was a surreal experience witnessing Tiger Woods and the gang hamming it up in the SoFi Center. What worked well? What sucked? Let’s take a deep dive: 🧵

The Good: The Golf Arena Honestly, good isn’t kind enough. It’s AMAZING in person. The scale of the screen and just the whole place isn’t done justice at home on TV. The setup is so well thought out. Just awesome. I wanted to hit a ball so bad.

@Top100Rick It was a horrible boring watch on tv. I felt like I was watching a new bowling alley having its opening night. I found it on accident on espn8 and will never watch that crap again. * the pro skulling it out of a bunker with 0 pressure was hilarious

@Top100Rick How much do they pay until pump this up? I watched and it was horrible. Their banter was lame and forced. Like going to a work conference and nervously laughing at unfunny jokes by the higher ups

@Top100Rick Couldn’t they build a damn indoor golf league somewhere its not great weather all year around lol? Spare some fore the rest of us😭 lots of New Yorkers would love to attend this for example

@Top100Rick Seems strained to me. The Olympics are timeless. The MLB is timeless -- with occasional rule changes. The NFL is timeless. What is the motive here? As the saying goes, "What are we doing?"
