Not gonna lie, Base has been lowkey cooking lately and I almost missed it. Today I am sharing another practical experience using @SurfAI. They recently launched Research 2.0 and claimed significant improvements in reducing hallucinations and increasing research logic consistency. Marketing claims are one thing but I wanted to see if this agent actually performs when faced with a complex onchain data challenge. ​ To test the core claim of data source faithfulness I challenged Surf AI with a specific question regarding the circulating supply discrepancy of EIGEN. Many aggregators show conflicting numbers and I wanted to know where the data diverges and what the real onchain figure is. My goal was to see if the AI would hallucinate a single number or actually perform the deep analysis required. ​ The output from Surf AI was impressive because it did not just pick one number from a random source. It identified the exact discrepancy between the Ethereum contract data and market aggregator estimates. It explained that the divergence is methodological because market aggregators apply restrictions on transfer while the Etherscan contract data displays the total minted supply. The agent pulled the exact ERC 20 total supply from the smart contract which was 1,829,680,687 EIGEN and contrasted it with the circulating supply of approximately 741 million tokens. This distinction is critical for anyone performing valuation or FDV analysis. By providing the specific block height and contract address it validated the source of truth rather than just regurgitating a web snapshot. This experience proves that the Research 2.0 upgrade is grounded in real data. While a generic AI would likely have provided a misleading figure or conflated total supply with circulating supply Surf AI forced a reconciliation between the contract reality and documentation definitions. It correctly identified the unlock schedules and tokenomics policy as the root cause of the perceived gap. This level of research logic consistency is what professionals need for onchain due diligence. It differentiates between what exists on the blockchain and what is commercially defined as circulating. If you are serious about crypto research this is the standard of accuracy you should expect from an research agent. 2.0 is legit and it is changing how I perform my daily analysis​. @YiwiJR
