Za nami intensywny czas rozmów o przyszłości regionu i Europy. Podczas Forum Biznesu Trójmorza – Three Seas Initiative (3SI) Business Forum w Dubrowniku wyraźnie wybrzmiało, jak istotne staje się dziś łączenie perspektywy politycznej z realnymi inwestycjami oraz współpraca międzysektorowa. W centrum debat znalazły się kwestie geopolityki gospodarczej regionu Trójmorza, rozwoju strategicznych korytarzy północ–południe oraz finansowania kluczowej infrastruktury – od transportu, przez energetykę, po transformację cyfrową. Nie zabrakło także przestrzeni dla konkretnych działań: spotkań, rozmów ministerialnych oraz wymiany doświadczeń między liderami biznesu, inwestorami i decydentami. Forum po raz kolejny pokazało, że rola sektora prywatnego w budowaniu odporności i spójności regionu rośnie, a współpraca ponad granicami jest dziś nie tyle wyborem, co koniecznością. During the Three Seas Initiative (3SI) Business Forum in Dubrovnik, it became clear how crucial it is today to combine a political perspective with real investments, as well as to foster cross-sector cooperation. At the heart of the debates were issues related to the geoeconomics of the Three Seas region, the development of strategic North–South corridors, and the financing of key infrastructure — from transport and energy to digital transformation. There was also ample space for concrete actions, including meetings, ministerial discussions, and exchanges of experience among business leaders, investors, and decision-makers. Once again, the Forum demonstrated that the role of the private sector in building the region’s resilience and cohesion is growing, and that cross-border cooperation is no longer a choice, but a necessity. #ThreeSeas can serve as the European anchor connecting a more autonomous Central Asia to trusted markets and infrastructure.

For a full #ThreeSeas picture, the Trans-Caspian route matters. It brings Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan into a westbound corridor via the Caspian and Black Sea-reducing Russia/China dependence and meshing with IMEC and northern axes.

Central Asia’s route to security and development runs through strategic autonomy. For Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, diversified westbound links matter - and both the EU and US back that aim.

Constraints persist (ports, fleets, borders), but the geoeconomic logic is strong.

As formats shift and tariffs reshape flows, IMEC offers a proactive alternative to reactive Europe. For #ThreeSeas, pairing IMEC (south) with Arctic access (north) builds a dual-axis connectivity strategy - toward India, away from China, and inside a secure transatlantic system.

Setting the stage for a #ThreeSeas discussion: control of transatlantic access still hinges on Arctic chokepoints-Greenland and the North Atlantic corridor.

Only a fused North Atlantic–Baltic approach can deliver credible maritime protection.

Building a northern pillar for #ThreeSeas is hard - but necessary. Greenland sits outside the EU, NATO/EU mandates overlap, yet interests converge: secure sea lanes, deter Russia/China, and share the burden.

The Baltic remains exposed; effective defense demands tighter US–Canada–Baltic coordination across these connected theaters.

Security debates can’t silo the Baltic, North Sea, and Arctic - they form one maritime continuum. Even if the northern vector was underweighted in #ThreeSeas, it has to be integrated.

Without credible burden-sharing and trust, collective control in the High North erodes.

The Arctic is no longer a remote flank - it’s becoming contested core terrain. As Russia entrenches and China probes, doubts are emerging inside the West about who can be relied on to secure northern approaches.

Russia’s deep Arctic competencies and China’s growing presence are shifting the balance, while Western partners struggle to align on sovereignty and burden-sharing.
