@4Axis_ Who cares? Its not a closed ecoysytem if I can buy all my games from Jims Produce and Video Game Shack. There is competition and multiple storefronts. That is the part that matters.

@SkirmishMc You know Nintendo still gets manufacturing and royalty fees from physical cartridges, On the other hand buy a game from GOG or something on the steam machine and steam has zero involvement But yeah lets just act as if Nintendo allows you to get games outside of their channels

@4Axis_ Nintendo games famously can ONLY be bought from Nintendo. They are totally not for sale at locally owned gaming stores that employ actual human beings in your community and can be resold if you want because you actually own the games. But praise Valve, I guess.

Nintendo fanboy. I got you my guy. Nintendo means quality. Nintendo sells their devices at a loss. So they aren’t being greedy like Valve who charges $1,000 for a subpar machine. Second. The games that come out are specifically programmed and specifically coded to run on one piece of hardware. That phenomenon alone creates a high-quality environment and it creates high-quality games. Games work. There’s no need to update or mess with the config file or mess with Settings. Because you’re paying $80 for a game, it creates an incentive for a company to create even more games. It also gets third-party developers, hungry for the same business, and now everyone is fighting for our money. And in the process we get better games. This explains why the PC platform does not have any AAA exclusive and why you guys get treated like second class citizens. I heard you’re not even getting GTA when it releases on consoles. Which part of that do you not understand? 🤔

@s65943 Your still buying from them even if you get it from elsewhere, unless you homebrew (which they will brick your console for) they have involvement no matter what in the process. if you buy a game from idk GOG for example on the steam machine then steam would have zero involvement

@4Axis_ The paid online subscription was Jewbox's fault. You can buy Nintendo games elsewhere, and even get a discount. I buy them there.

@4Axis_ Online is only half right as you only need to pay for Nintendo official servers, any third party Online game doesn't need the subscription

@SMOOTHIIl ill admit the price of the controller is high to say the least however considering that the steam machine has full support for DualShock, Dualsense, Xbox controllers and Joycons i think it makes sense to allow you to buy the console without the controller
