Thought Rico Champagne (2010) and Brady Nash (2010) had some good moments as well. May need a year but the IQ on both players shows some offensive promise. Nash couldn't buy one but all he does is score. Champagne also tried to fight 6'3 Ruggere at the end, kids fearless.

Will be posting some thoughts from Colts rookie camp below. Some serious size at this years camp. Thought the last two draft classes had some standouts as well.

Thought the best player in the game was this years 5th round pick Roman Shtefan. Listed at 5'9 but looks taller already. High end speed and offensive skill set. Scored two nice goals, one an individual effort showcasing the speed and hands. Hope Barrie can get him signed soon.

Last years 5th rounder Owen Miehm (2009) could be pushing for a spot with a strong main camp. Big body at 6'3 and provides some sneaky offense. Had a fight late in this one showing he can do some serious damage with the gloves off adding another role he can fill for the Colts.

Last year 15th rounder and signed Rocco Olek (2009) had some good moments as well. Big body at 6'3 and moves well at top speed. Needs to work on his first step but carries speed well. Real soft hands for a big boy almost scored a highlight reel goal.

This years 4th rounder Cale Scott (2010) had a fight and was engaged physically the whole game. Decent skater for 6'4 205lbs could be a physical presence at the OHL level. Little raw offensively but physical attributes help.

This years 12th rounder Khov Long was looking for it all game. Net front causing problems each shift,finishing hits on the forecheck and engaged after the whistles. Got his wish and dropped the gloves with 6'4 Cale Scott and held his own. Smart/safe two way C with lots of energy.

This years 14th rounder James Guiney (2010) was all around it. Reminds me a bit of former Colt captain Beau Jelsma. Skating and offensive ability but high compete, physical and in your face. Noticeable every shift.

Last years 5th rounder and signed Aiden Mowrey (2009) stood out for team white. 6'4, 205 and had a couple big hits. Not as high end of a skater as Ruggere but smooth and mobile for his size with some more bite. Little more simple on the first pass. Possible Passmore replacement.

5th rounder Marc Ruggere (2010) stood out for team blue. 6'3 but high end skater. Can really shoot the puck too but mobility stood out right away. Has the size and skating ability to step into an OHL line up next year if need be. Joined the rush a couple times as well.

Complete slap in the face to the fans that pay for tickets, jerseys etc all year every year (good or bad). I'd do it for free it's a joke.

@95morrison Completely agree, Howie does not care. They only hire interns to run their game ops they won’t pay anybody properly. You could have one of the most successful franchisees in the league with the fan base here and they just waste it.

@95morrison I could never figure out when any camps were until I started asking agents. It’s crazy. If I wasn’t obsessed with this team as a kid, I would have been long gone by now as a fan.

@CollinJ17 @bsunimedia @joshkim_ @SpitzVisuals The same shit every year. No camp details. Roster updates on the site wrong. Awful fan engagement. 2024-25 was won because of a YouTube series that was a great idea. Doesn't excuse the lack of work put into those other areas.

Marlies take game 5. Landon Sim changed the tides in this one. Physical, in your face and a big first goal. Vocal to his bench. Kids going to play NHL games at some point.
