As expected, Cody Rhodes defeats Ricky Saints in his SmackDown debut.
I’m seeing people point out that the crowd didn’t react much to Ricky all night. I wouldn’t worry about that.
Ricky Starks didn’t get a huge reaction when he debuted in AEW either. It took about a year for him to fully connect, and then he became a major player on the show.
I expect the same here.
If WWE gives him consistent mic time, lets him stack some wins, maybe even put a title on him down the line, he’ll get over in no time. I am sure the higher ups know Ricky Saints can be a big player for WWE.
