Great talk by Baldwyn Torto (ISIPE) on how to use chemical ecology research on crop pests to provide biological solutions for sub-Saharan farmers.

This field trip was part of the "Max Planck Partner Group Kick-Off Workshop" organised by Dr. Sagar Pandit & Max Planck Partner Group's mentor Prof. Jonathan Gershenzon. We were accompanied by leading chemical ecologists from both India & Germany who are part of @maxplanckpress.

Of course, Crop Protection is a bit less exotic (as the article implies) if you teach the subject yourself :-)
