Plus the dutchman in this movie has a different voice / beard than the one in the show, so you could argue they’re different characters

Okay so the flying dutchman obviously isn’t patchy in the new spongebob movie, but they also establish that being the flying dutchman is a “curse” that’s passed from person to person, so it’s still possible Patchy was a previous/future dutchman
