Kalshi closed a funding round at a $22B valuation
and the gap vs Polymarket is harder to ignore
let's talk revenue:
@Kalshi: ~$4M/day > ~$1.46B annualized
@Polymarket: ~$1M/day > ~$365M annualized
4x revenue difference in the same valuation range
if you're a VC choosing between the two at similar entry prices, the math is straightforward
> @Polymarket was rumored at $20B, then came back around $15B (not sure if this is true, but still)
> @Kalshi closed cleanly at $22B
primary market investors voted with their capital
Kalshi looks even stronger when compared to traditional players entering the space
1/ @Kalshi regularly has days climbing north of $500M
2/ @FanDuelPredicts — powered by the same CME infrastructure — is doing an estimated maximum of $1M/day
meaning Kalshi is likely doing more volume in one day than FanDuel does in an entire year 🤯
meanwhile, @Polymarket is feeling the pressure
the US version isn't scaling meaningfully this year
but they're going all-in on the DeFi version — launching a full fee system, rolling out pUSD stablecoin to generate yield, rebuilding the matching engine
all good moves, and the valuation can grow quickly if the US product starts working
but right now, @Kalshi is winning.
