@SketchesbyBoze My modern art students were reading some of the Expressionists' writings this week, including Franz Marc, and I kept thinking about what might have been if he had not been killed at Verdun.

The reason modern life is so dumb and ugly is because countless thousands of future poets, painters and mythmakers were slaughtered at the Somme & Verdun. WWI was a tragedy from which we may never recover. Lewis & Tolkien survived but we lost a hundred Lewises & Tolkiens.

My friend gave me this cute art history bag for Christmas. I love the little cartoons for the artists (very appropriate for my modern art class), but the one for Van Gogh makes me do a double-take because it looks so much like Ed Ash.

i love sort of backdoor entry points to fandoms like when the actor of a side character in one show is a minor character in another so there’s a small gaggle of viewers who are just really about that one guy. steffon fossoway comes to mind

I am going to miss it when the first season of AKOTSK wraps up on Sunday. It's been wonderful having all of these pictures and gifs of Steffon and lovely Edward.
