Tesla insights
@AmusingElon
Serious Tesla insights and analysis with a light sprinkling of Elonesque mirth.

The idea that Tesla is alone in the race to develop end-to-end vision system for self-driving and delivering into consumer vehicles is officially dead. Like dead, dead. I tested Xpeng's VLA 2.0 in the streets of Beijing, and it is comparable to my experience of daily driving Tesla FSD v14. Xpeng is not charging $100 a month to drive this. It is inlcuded in its higher-trim vehicles and it already caught the attention of Volkswagen, which is going to integrate into its own vehicles - something Tesla hasn't been able to do despite trying. Ford can suck my white ass.

@JOBhakdi Sure but the 12 month outlook is very questionable. It would not be unfair to assume full on robotaxi could still be more than a year away. Remains a long term bet. Automotive/FSD could save the day if FSD is widely approved. Optimus will take even longer.

@mikepat711 I’ve held Tesla for 6 years and today’s earnings call was the first time I’ve seriously considered selling the stock

Well, no luck scoring an “unsupervised” Robotaxi ride in Houston on day one… but I did swing by the home base and saw 30+ Robotaxis lined up, ready to roll. Pretty wild to see. HTown is going to rock and expand quickly. Tesla $420 by 4/20 would be icing on the cake. 🤠

Robotaxi now rolling out in Dallas & Houston 🤠
