If you don’t know who Jay Graber is, you will. She’s the woman behind Blue Sky. Everyone’s talking about it. In just the past week, Bluesky’s user base has exploded, more than doubling to over 16 million as people scramble for an alternative to X, Facebook, and Threads. It’s now the most downloaded app, adding over a million new users every single day. Bluesky was initially financed by a grant from Twitter under Jack Dorsey. But when Elon Musk bought Twitter, he cut ties with Bluesky. So, why is Blue Sky such a breath of fresh air? Because it gives users control over their feeds, steering clear of the toxic algorithms that fuel polarization—exactly why people are fleeing X. And whoever came up with the “starter pack” feature—Genius!!!

30 years ago, Ukraine agreed to give up the world's 3rd largest nuclear arsenal in exchange for security guarantees from the US and Russia under the Budapest Memorandum. ▪️3,000 tactical nuclear warheads ▪️1,900 strategic nuclear warheads ▪️176 ICBMs ▪️42 strategic bombers

🧵 17 years ago #Ukraine destroyed its last Tu-22M heavy bomber & 423 Kh-22 cruise missiles in accordance with its voluntary disarmament, to make a clean break from its Soviet past under #Kremlin's control, in great hopes of being accepted into a free Europe. Tragically betrayed.

Four years ago, we faced unprecedented crises. President Biden understood the magnitude of the challenge and used the tools of government to meet the moment—including an infrastructure package that is transforming our nation. It will be remembered as this century's Big Deal.

Let me tell you a secret about how you, as one, individual person, can have an impact on your Republican Senator or Representative. 1️⃣ You’re going to call, email and write to that person at their national and district office. You’re going use your own words. No more than one page. Include your name and address (showing you live in their state or district). 2️⃣ You’re going to find the district office nearest to you and visit it in person. You’re going to ask to speak to someone—frankly, it doesn’t matter who. The district workers actually live here, in the community with you. They may send their kid to the same school. They may shop at the same Wal-Mart or visit the same Christmas Tree farm. You’re going to be polite and civil. Introduce yourself and ask to speak with someone about a concern. If they ask what it is, tell them. If they say there’s no one you can see, ask to talk to them. Get their name. Most people will look dumbfounded but say yes. Then, before diving in, ask where they are from. Build rapport, find a quick commonality. And then, in just 1-2 sentences explain your feelings on the issue. Then spend 1-2 sentences making the issue local. It doesn’t hurt to fake compliment either. So for example: “I’m concerned about the tariffs that might happen. Joshua Hawley says he cares about workers. But my uncle works at the plant and he’s not getting the planned bonus this year because they’re preparing for cost increases.” Then, you wait. Resist the urge to speak again. Wait. Force that person to say something. Look at them kindly. Wait for them to say something. Doesn’t really matter what they say. At the end ask if you can leave your note that explains the problem (the note should mirror what you said). And leave. 3️⃣ About two weeks later, call the local office. Ask to speak with that same person. And politely ask what your Senator or Representative plans to do about the concern you raised. What’s the impact? Well, first of all, offices log and record all communications that come in. I worked in an office where we kept track, numerically, of how many concerns came in about which issue. The issues with the most complaints were talked about first in our constituent services meetings. At the local office, these folks are not career beltway politicos hoping for proximity to power. They are more apt to still see you as a person and not a Democrat. And they will be more likely to vocalize the concern in a human way. The effect, when many individuals do this work, is a gradual softening on the issue by the staff which reaches their boss. For folks in more purple districts, this can have great effect. In more red districts where the person is of a more old school or traditionalist style it can still help. Regardless of outcome, it’s still important to do because the offices need to be aware of the very vocal opposition to damaging policies. If we go silent, they will believe there’s widespread support where none exists. We must use our voice and the tools available while we still have them. 😎 P.S. All of this is even more impactful at the state and local level.

🔥🔥🔥 one of the most important videos I’ve shot Steve Bannon at CPAC talking about the mass firings day one. All the people who are being appointed by Trump for the various agencies are merely there to fire people day one and replace them with people who have been vetted for years in Project 2025 #InvasionOfTheBodySnatchers

Betrayed: How Trump's Policies Will Devastate Low-Income Voters' Social Security To those who cast their votes for Trump, particularly those struggling to make ends meet, I have a stark message: you have been duped. Your support for a man whose policies will devastate your own financial security is akin to sawing off the branch you're sitting on. Trump's promises to safeguard Social Security are nothing more than empty rhetoric. He offers no concrete reforms, no viable solutions to address the program's looming insolvency by 2035. Instead, he proposes tax cuts that will drain the very resources needed to sustain your benefits. His plan to eliminate taxes on Social Security benefits might sound appealing, but it will reduce funding by a staggering $950 billion over ten years. Who do you think will bear the brunt of this shortfall? Not the wealthy, but you—the lower-income seniors who rely on every penny of your Social Security checks. Trump's additional tax cuts on tips and overtime will further exacerbate the problem, reducing revenue by another $900 billion over a decade. Combined with his other proposals, this could push Social Security's insolvency to as early as 2031, forcing Congress to consider benefit reductions of up to 30%. Imagine that—your already meager benefits slashed by nearly a third, all because you voted for a man who promised you the moon but delivered a fiscal nightmare. And let's not forget the impact of his tariffs and immigration policies. Tariffs will drive inflation, increasing Social Security's cost-of-living adjustments and further straining the program's finances. His immigration restrictions will cut payroll contributions from undocumented workers, reducing Social Security revenue by $400 billion over a decade. These policies are a double-edged sword that will cut deep into the heart of the social safety net you depend on. You voted for Trump thinking he had your best interests at heart. But his approach to Social Security is a house of cards, built on tax reductions without concrete funding strategies. It's a reckless gamble that puts your future at risk. When the benefits you rely on are slashed, remember that you voted for the man who wielded the knife. Wake up and smell the betrayal. Your vote has empowered a regime that will leave you impoverished and desperate. You deserve better, but it's too late for regrets. The storm is coming, and you've steered the ship straight into its path.

As everyone is now in a sufficient state of shock, what we are seeing now is the rollout of the plan for fast and total capture and destruction of the United States, as outlined in "Project Russia." See paper below. Other democracies are next. web.archive.org/web/2019042803…

The rate of sea level rise happening now in Florida is about a foot every ten years. That's up from about an inch every ten years back in the 60's. Enjoy this map before Republicans privatize NOAA. The beachfront developers don't want you to see this. coast.noaa.gov/slr/#/layer/sl…

Trump’s margin in NC is based ENTIRELY on under-votes. Dems won the whole ballot except the top spot. This makes absolutely NO SENSE! It’s counter to the behavior of both Dems and Republicans. The fact that EVERY swing state went Trump exclusively on under votes

Well, I guess the consequences of this election are already being felt. A story about Trump voters in Pennsylvania. The owner of a large company called a meeting for all his employees. He informed them that they won't be getting their Christmas bonuses this year. He explained that the company has to buy a year's worth of product before the Trump's tariffs hit in January. They said they thought the tariffs were paid by the foreign companies. He then explained to his employees that the tariffs are paid by the American companies who import these foreign goods. Sometimes, you get exactly what you vote for.
