@goatlave2 I wouldn’t put Nabers, Collin’s, or Pickens over Olave. Olave has had to go through so much more adversity than those 3 and yet he still out up 3 1K seasons.

So the Jets took Cade Klubnik at 110. Developmental QB out of Clemson. The thing that gets a bit excited is 2024. He threw for 3,639 yards, 36 touchdowns, 6 picks, won ACC Championship Game MVP, top-15 QBR in the country. Real season. He was a five-star, the heir apparent to TL. Jordan Reid had him going number one overall in a mock last May. A year ago people were talking about him like a top-of-the-draft guy. Then 2025. 16 touchdowns. About 700 fewer yards. NFL Stock cratered. And that's the part that makes wonder, which version of him is real. Is the 2024 tape who he is and 2025 was a bad year around him, or is 2025 closer to the truth and 2024 was the outlier. I don't know. Career stats are 10,123 yards and 73 touchdowns, plus 17 rushing scores, so there's a some body of work, but the trend at the end is the wrong direction. He's 6'2, 207, which is 9th percentile in weight for the position. Arm is adequate, not elite. Happy feet ALOT, locks onto reads, mechanics break under pressure. Evaluators had him as a Day 3 dart throw. The ceiling comp is Bo Nix, which is great if you hit it, but you have to hit it. Where I land, I guess, is that the QB2 spot was just empty. Geno is the guy, Cook and Zappe are what they are, and there was no developmental arm behind them with real upside. Klubnik is that. If he sits two years, cleans up the footwork, learns to go through a progression, you might have a real backup or a low-end starter on a rookie deal. That's the bet. If he's the next Bo Nix, heist. If 2025 was the truer version, wasted pick. Ask me in three years.

The Jets offensive infrastructure for an incoming QB is borderline elite. (I cannot believe I just typed that). The OL is set, w/ bookend young OTs. They have 2 WRs I love and a wildcard in AD. They have a pair of young, talented TEs. They have RB1. This team is almost ready

Also now that we can start to identify draft trends the Jets have HEAVILY leaned to players that played against highest level competition. No small schools. That even held up in later rounds last draft. We will see if the same applies here
