@AngelDrawDoodle I get that. I had some problems with the Owl House finale too (though far more the second episode of Season 3 if I'm being honest). I think when you're with a group the sense of community can make the experience give you a sort of emotional high that has you overlook flaws more.

I'm honestly relieved at seeing so so many people following the Youtube release saying they were disappointed with the Digital Circus finale. Goes to show how the community aspect of the theater helped elevate the perception of it. As an episode alone the cracks really show.

@AthanTheGuy Legit Caine was like one of my favs and it was SO AWARDING to see him end at the whole “evil Ai” thing but he legit moved down from one of my favs because of how all his progress to get there was so quickly undone

@AthanTheGuy They should’ve left Caine “dead”, his removal felt like an actual huge change to the circus as all though they hated him he kept it together just for him to come back casually and to be forgiven over a montage, like I loved EP 8 and the end of Caine’s arc but it was all undone

i think it’s worth pointing out that he thought the abstractions were escaping because Caine wasn’t around to keep them contained it really shows just how inconsequential Caine’s absence and the Circus falling apart really was

notice how kinger holds the bowling ball and gets hit by the rook this is symbolism to show that kingers wife abstracted but since its not relevant to the main plot he gets pushed offscreen, representing minimal screentime in the finale
