About 18 years ago, I came to the realisation that I may be asexual. At that time, there was no ace representation in mainstream media. In #Mauritius, asexuality was never spoken about, not even within the queer community. (1/15)

adding more context to this: after Haiti not having cholera for >100 years, the UN's peacekeeping mission carried cholera in the country in 2010 and caused an epidemic that killed >8,000 ppl and infected >600,000 ppl. the UN themselves admitted this (eventually 6 years later)!

Absolutely right! I teach Cuban foreign policy in Africa. And my students are always surprised when I tell them that Cuba was the only country to defeat Apartheid South Africa militarily. Not once but twice (1975 & 1988), protecting Angola from occupation from Apartheid SA and playing big role in independence of Namibia. Cuba’s crucial role in the defeat of the Apartheid regime, at a time when it was supported by the US and its allies, is not a history Europeans and global elites are told or taught. Celebrate Mandela, sure, but don’t ask any questions…

Millennials are the elite generation because they cranked out 12-page essays the night before they were due. No ChatGPT. No Claude. Just lo-fi beats playing in the background, Black coffee at midnight, footnotes that were somehow correct, and pure delusion. Grade was an A minus. Period.

Les chiens sont prêts à traverser une guerre pour rester avec leurs humains. C’est toute la différence entre la loyauté… et le confort. Même si elle veut « protéger » sa famille en se réfugiant ailleurs, elle aurait pu au moins lancer la préparation du rapatriement de sa chienne. Il n’en est rien. Allez demander une stratégie ou une réflexion poussée à ce genre de personne superficielle…c’est peine perdue. Honte sur elle.
