For those who are wondering, I had a hernia repaired. This surgery hurts more than a colon re-section I had done last December to remove 15 inches of my colon because of a precancerous tumor. I'm in a lot of pain, but hopefully I'll heal quickly. Thanks for the well wishes!

As a person (white) who grew up in the city and knowing some policemen and women two things were/are clear: 1) that there are good cops and bad cops – some can be trusted to do the right thing, others can’t and 2) police culture has needed some serious overhauling for a long time

VOC measurements pioneer Dr. William Lonneman dies. He will be greatly missed. Bill was a pioneer of urban VOC measurements, working at EPA for many years. He did a famous 39 City study categorizing VOC profiles and patterns across many cities in the US.
