@tomfgoodwin Could just be your phone's antenna. When I go into an area and get bumped to 4G my phone works fine - data is super slow though.
The antennas between 4G and 5G are different. And I'd hazard a guess that of the available room they're going to give priority to the 5G antenna.

How come 3G used to be enough signal to do anything, and now if you're "only" on 4G LTE, you're basically on dial up internet and can't make a call.
