2nd-yr Env Science students getting up close to one of the biodigesters built and run by @FreEnergyAD on an organic dairy farm. Fascinating visit where we discussed waste / resource management, renewables, GHGs, livestock systems, regulation, soils / water / nutrients, and more!

What a great week our 2nd-year Env Science students have had! No better way of learning than seeing it for yourself, and also invaluable to hear from those directly working in areas that our students may go on to work in. Plus of course time for a bit of socialising! 🍺😁

Trip lleol i weld defnydd hanfodol pori gan wartheg ar gyfer cadwraeth. A great trip with @NFFNUK to see how cattle are an essential tool in managing this site for conservation, primarily of fungi. More trips to come this week @BangorSNS!

Perfect (wet!) weather to take 1st-year Env Science students @BangorUni to discuss managing land for flood mitigation, followed by daily trips (and sun!) around Eryri to explore land use, conservation, renewables, ecology, water quality, GHGs, glaciation, and more! A great week.
