I remember in the 90s Ami's car got stuck near the then MidEast hospital. She got out & started walking in waist deep water & fell in a gutter or ditch & a worker pulled her out. 90s to 2026. Nothing has changed in Karachi, as it continued to grow without urban planning.

The ball moved first by the water is considered to be in abundance that year. This ritual marks the beginning of two days of festivities and the formal farming season. The spring festival is a centuries old tradition still celebrated with communal harmony. 2/3

Back home it's going to be a grain year compared to milk. This is predicted through a ritual as part of the begining of the spring festival. A ball of butter & another of dough are kept at the point where water is diverted from the river into the main channel for the village. 1/3

Since Bacha Bazi in different parts of Pakistan was debated here, I posted this four years back about a similar culture in the otherwise highly exoticised Gilgit-Baltistan. There are literally local terms for it. It's the same or even worse in Chitral.
Basharat Issa@BasharatIssa

There are literally subcultures of homosexuality in almost all the villages of Gilgit-Baltistan that nobody talks about and the whole society is hypocrite about this. This subculture includes but is not limited to rape, molestation, harassment and abuse based on revenge,

Dear Pakistan: The biggest threat to critical infrastructure is now coming from new, asymmetric, kinetic weapons like drones. It is extremely important to now build new critical infrastructure in dense mountains, underground or under the seabed. And it is also very important to have V/SHORADs around critical infrastructure. Take it as a cost of construction moving forward and legislate it to become a part of official building code. @CMShehbaz @OfficialDGISPR @MohsinnaqviC42 @TararAttaullah

Quantitative analysis has taken over every discipline in the social sciences, and destroyed it. Students of politics, psychology, even history, are asked to quantify their findings, by attaching some type of number to them (e.g., some inanity like '63% of women prefer men with a sense of humour'). It is made to look intelligent by calculating regression coefficients, plotting graphs, coming up with formulae using mutliple betas. This has been deliberately - and successfully - pushed by American state-backed institutions - CCF, Ford Foundation, RAND, etc. [ref, Saunders (1999), Amadae (2003), Solovey (2013)] to counter theoretical social sciences, which were seen as dangers to capitalism and liberal democracy. Imbecilic empiricism rules academia now.
