I think it’s pretty funny how there’s plenty of people who only wait for YouTube updates and don’t keep up with my dev logs here, so they basically think that I rise from the grave every time I upload a YouTube video (and this new video was the first upload since almost a year)

3)had to rework the type of obstacle that would get disabled for you to access the "reward" since the existing bars wouldn't work with 3d floors, that meant going all the way back to the code for both the switch and the failsafe and adapting it

When people wonder why this project is taking so long, I just spent two hours refining a single time trial switch because 1) it would conflict with an existing timetrial in the level so there'd need to be a failsafe to avoid starting both at once 2) handle the reset on level exit

I've been working on a new map which is giving me quite the headache, don't feel comfortable publishing pics yet cause i'm not sure about it and might axe it completely for a plan B map, more to come.

@D4N5T3P Prime 3 is not as good as 1 and 2 but it's more cohesive and generally more interesting than 4 despite starting the "linear Prime" design

Finished Metroid Prime 4 earlier and I don't think I wanna play it again, unfortunately it's incredibly linear and the backtracking feels artificial, the desert area is just a gimmick duct taped together, and there's a lot of sections that just did not hit that Prime feeling.

@Batandy_ Are these little fire guys voiced by the guy who voices Square in the Adventures of Square? Their voice sounds eerily familiar. I'd be surprised if they weren't, especially since this is the level with the Adventures of Square secret.

As of today, area 2 is complete and I can start working on area 3 and the subsequent final levels. I still can't determine when the project will be completed, but 1.0 approaches and it's closer than ever, so I hope you will have the patience to wait just a bit more! #goldensouls

Work on the boss level has been completed, I'm currently further refining area 2 and tying up some loose ends, it shouldn't take more than a week, after that I'm onto starting the work on Area 3 and the final set of levels, a Roadmap update is coming soon :) #goldensouls3
