Said this in a comment but I'll put it here:
A horse rearing to the point he flips is handled the same way the NFL handles a QB taking a hard hit.
Even if they appear fine physically, protocol is they sit out a play to let their body relax. For a horse that means he scratches.

GREAT WHITE flipped his rider over ahead of the Kentucky Derby and has been scratched from the race. Unexpected turn of events at Churchill Downs. 🤯

@ChristinaZurick First thing I thought of is Curlin getting his Derby winner
English

@lunarandsunny That is not how slaughter works and you are now blocked.
English

@randy_moss_TV @nickluck Dude you guys have to get it together. Saying a horse is unfriendly who is tied to back of his stall is beginning to make me think y'all is playing blind today. Kenny didn't scratch a horse to make a statement. Stop making shit up, please and thank you
English

Ok, I gave up @NBCSports you are so so so bad. Back to @FanDuelRacing and only switch over for actual race.
English

@DCHI23 And I will never have to hear that Bob's horses can't still re-break the rest of the day!
English

@FanDuel_Racing Some people quit before they were fired over there?
English

@KennyMcPeek The amount of stuff they don't know and get wrong on that show is impressive, almost like there is an Anti-Producer working for NBC Sports.
English

@TallmanGordon @NBCSports Complete nightmare. They must not even have enough monitors on set as they can't even describe replays accurately. Such a shitshow. As though anyone interested in such fluff is watching it on TV on Saturday afternoon. They're not.

I don’t know who’s in charge of @NBCSports horse racing coverage. It’s almost all analysts and fashionistas getting air time. Then, as an afterthought, “Oh yeah, I guess we have to show a race now.” Out of character for me to be so vocal about it, but this is dreadful!
English

@LindaCKBL @NBCSN I liked Brad's kid saying Further Ado would win with not even the slightest hesitation.
English

@Pan_Zareta His record out of CA this year (including Saudi Arabia, VA, Ark, NY, LA) starts is 13-5-1-2 so about 40% win percentage before this week. 0 for 5 now at CD w/ a couple of trainer scratches, too.
English

@BeReal2025 So often they just have nothing in the stretch after good early trip, positioning. No battle, no rebreak of yesteryear. Memory as the second choice in r2, sixth. I'm reacting to a few anecdotal instances, but curious to see win% for '26 outside CA.
English

@Pan_Zareta I think he is 30% in CA and around 20% eleswhere past few years. I think a few of his (i.e. Memory) are overbet in tough spots because of Bob.
English

@3coltshandicap Tell each one a different horse so you will be right once!
English

@Pan_Zareta It's a Litmus Test🤣 Splendora was sick out of her last race and did miss a work. I thought Usha might roll at the top of the stretch. But all credit to the winner!
