Scouting for September # 8: 'Little Bang', @KMcCaughrain's YA novel about an unplanned teenage pregnancy, is another of the brilliant books we've read over the summer break that we'll be adding to our shelves after the hols. An honest, thought-provoking and moving read.

Scouting for September # 5: ''The Grimmelings' by @rachaelking70. This bewitching tale has brought magic to our summer break. Thank you to @guppybooks for giving us this proof back in April. We'll definitely be ordering a finished copy on our return to school after the hols. 😊📚

Scouting for September # 4: 'Wild East' by @AHicksonLovence. Another of the brilliant books we've read since the end of term that we'll be adding to our shelves after the summer holidays. We're excited to share this YA verse novel with @BeaumontSchStA students.

Scouting for September # 3: 'Us in the Before and After' by @JennyV_Books is another of the amazing books we've read since the end of term that we'll be adding to our shelves after the hols. This YA story of friendship, love, and loss is utterly beautiful in every way.

⚽️📚 Top stats: 122 students took part in our #EURO2024    reading challenge and prize draw, reading a total of 211 books. The two winning entries belonged to Alba and Daragh in Year 7. Congratulations to EVERYONE who took part. Reading is DEFINITELY the winner here! ⚽️📚

@RachelDelahaye I, meanwhile, am about 100 pages from the end of 'Splinters'. I'm hooked! Need to finish it ASAP in order to hand it on to a student before the end of term!

⚽️📚 Last night's final also marks the end of our #EURO2024 reading challenge. @BeaumontSchStA Year 7s and Year 8s have until the end of TODAY to hand in their entry slips for the prize draw. Two winners will be drawn tomorrow! ⚽️📚
