According to a new report by the @FAO, the hidden costs of our #foodsystem add up to at least $10 trillion - equivalent to 10% of global GDP. One-fifth of the impact was on the environment, from greenhouse gas emissions to deforestation and water use. 🌱 #TrueCostofFood

#foodwaste is pretty terrifying if you ask us 🎃 It's responsible for 8% of all GHG emissions. 🐛 By feeding waste to insects, we reduce the emissions and make the food chain circular. Because future Halloweens should be focused on ghosts and pumpkins, not on climate change 👻

🐶🐱 Research has shown that pets play a significant role in the climate crisis due to their meat-heavy diets. Just like with human diets, we need to look at their impact and see if it can be minimised. Insect-based alternatives provide a solution to this problem 🐛 #petfood
