Let’s play a game… Give me ONE name on the leaderboard that is your favorite to challenge Rory over the weekend. Who’s going to put the pressure on him?

I understand what your saying, but Indeed, Ziprecruiter etc.(job boards) are being paid as well, don't think there is a difference. And they are paid by actual trucking companies posting jobs, that they need filled. I think people see prices of loads now and just assume, driver shortage.

Trucking Recruiters like this who insist their is a Truck Driver Shortage are gnats feeding off the wounds of others. There is no reason that paid recruiters should exist in this industry. They are part of the problem not the solution. #ThereIsNOTruckDriverShortage

@BeaverReliever_ @ToriatheistTori We old farts had a spending deficit from 1776-2000 of $5.6 Trillion. You young whippersnappers added $33 Trillion to that in 25 years. Seems to me you kids have added way more to the mess we are in.

If you get a blowout and someone dies, every DA in the country is out for blood. Even though there is no policing of freight brokers paying on time, etc, its all on the driver now. Its in the news weekly. People don't want to risk their freedom driving trucks. Regardless if they are or aren't, that is what people are being told. I think if we went after a broker that is behind to a carrier that has had an accident due to faulty equipment/upkeep, criminally, then you will see a change. I actually am surprised a scamming attorney hasn't deposed a trucking company owner to see who was behind paying them, and including them in the suit.

There is no truck driver shortage. If the truck driver shortage narrative comes up again anytime in the next year, push back on it. It's not true. There are approximately 9,000,000 (nine million) CDL holders in the United States according to the FMCSA MCMIS. 3.06 million truck drivers in the US, 2.07 million of them are over the road drivers according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. There may be a retention problem. There may be a pay problem. There may be a training problem. There may be a professionalism problem. There is certainly an efficiency problem. We might see billboards with outrageous $20k sign on bonuses that will create job jumping, only to find out the fine print precludes the driver from the bonus at the end of the day. It's absurd to work 70 plus hours a week for $70,000 in light of the devaluation of the currency, inflation, etc. It's ridiculous how much time drivers spend waiting at docks for freight to get loaded and unloaded. The waste in empty miles is another killer. But there is not a shortage of truck drivers. We do not need H2B visa holders to come to the US to drive trucks. We need to pay drivers appropriately for working very hard, long hours. We need to train new entrants to drive safely and carefully. We need to financially incentivize safe driving. We need to make operations as efficient as possible to eliminate wasted time and miles. There's no one party to blame here. All of us need to work to fix these problems, every single one of us in the industry. We can do it. The willingness is here. The talent is here. The tech is here. There is no truck driver shortage. Join the club.

My buddy and I have had an interesting conversation this morning. Curious the masses thoughts! Would you rather: Play Augusta National one time. All the bells and whistles included. or Have lifetime passes to every single round of The Master’s until you pass away
