🆘🆘 COCO (ID 249356), 11 YO, FE,ALE – IN QUEENS ACC - came into the shelter as an owner surrender on 3/10/2026, with the surrender reason stated as person circumstance- moving. 🆘🆘 😿 😿 😿 😿 ➡️TBD 3/21/26 ➡️ SENIOR ALERT ➡️ MEDICAL PRIORITY – NEEDS MORE CARE AND ATTENTION THAN THE SHELTER CAN PROVIDE – IN FELINE ICU ➡️ TOO LOW ON PLEDGES TO STIMULATE RESCUE INTEREST ➡️ 🆘🆘 2ND Chance on Emergency Placement List – VERY URGENT – 🆘🆘 😱🔥🔥😱 ➡️ 10 DAYS IN SHELTER – TOO LONG – TIME IS RUNNING OUT ➡️ COCO IS ON THE EPL FOR MEDICAL REASONS -Coco is a hyperthyroid cat that has numerous abnormal subcutaneous masses on her abdomen. A biopsy is pending and further recommendations will be made when results are available. Hyperthyroidism will need veterinary follow-up and typically requires oral medication for life, although I-131 radiation can be curative. Behaviorally, Coco has allowed medical handling. What my friends at ACC say about me: I am a sweet, social, older gal, looking for the perfect forever home! Cheek and chin scratches make me so happy! I have medical needs that staff will address with you when you meet me. It could be with you! Coco interacts with the assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. No known history of behavioral problems. This cat is suitable for any level of adopter experience. This evaluation/diagnosis means that COCO will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption. 🔥🔥🔥🔥 NICE THING ❤️ 😻❤️ 😻❤️ 😻 NEEDS OUT OF SHELTER ASAP – Please RT or pledge, if you can, to save this little one. @AdamsPaulGrimke 💔😿🙏Thank you

🆘🆘 STORMY (ID 246043, 4 YO, MALE– IN QUEENS ACC - came into the shelter as an owner surrender on 1/21/2026, with the surrender reason stated as animal behavior - aggressive to other animals. 🆘🆘 😿 😿 😿 😿 ➡️TBD 3/14/26 ➡️ NEW HOPE PARTNER RESCUE ONLY ➡️ TOO LOW ON PLEDGES TO STIMULATE RESCUE INTEREST ➡️🆘🆘 9TH Chance on Emergency Placement List – ALMOST UNPRECEDENTED – AND SHELTER AT MAXIUMUM CAPACITY - NOW IS THE TIME TO ACT/HELP STORMY - HIGHEST EU/SILENT KILL RISK- VERY LIKELY LAST CALL FOR STORMY. ➡️ 48 DAYS IN SHELTER – TOO LONG – TIME IS RUNNING OUT ➡️ STORMY IS ON THE EPL FOR BEHAVIORAL REASONS - He is not thriving in the care center and continues to display distance-increasing behavior when approached for interactions. He has not warmed up despite staff using treats to build a positive association. This designation often means that the cat will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption. 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Stormy is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and may require further investigation before placement in a home. He has tried to swat and scratch in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time. 💔😿💔😿💔😿 NEEDS OUT OF SHELTER ASAP – Please RT or pledge, if you can, to save this little one. @AdamsPaulGrimke 💔😿🙏Thank you
