3 REASONS $NOW IS DOWN AFTER EARNINGS 1. The guide looked weaker once you stripped out M&A ServiceNow raised FY26 subs revenue guidance on the surface but management explicitly said the organic revenue guide didn't increase excluding Armis which means the organic outlook was basically flat to slightly lower. That gave bears exactly what they wanted because the headline raise looked better than the underlying growth signal. 2. Margin pressure fed the SaaS bear case Q2 operating margin guidance came in at ~27% versus ~30% & FY26 subs gross margin, operating margin & FCF margin all moved lower. Some of that is tied to Armis, integration costs & mix shift away from on-premise but the market is already worried that AI is going to make legacy SaaS models less profitable over time so any margin compression gets punished fast. 3. Good demand was not strong enough to kill the AI debate The quarter itself wasn't bad since cRPO grew 21% versus 20% guidance & customers spending more than $5M in ACV rose 22% to 630. AI adoption also looked healthy with $1M+ Now Assist customers up 130% YoY & management raising its Now Assist target from $1B to $1.5B. But the market investors wanted proof that AI is clearly accelerating the core business right now & instead they got solid execution plus enough noise around geopolitics, M&A & margins to keep the bear case alive.

$CRWD launched Project QuiltWorks which is an AI security coalition with $IBM, OpenAI and Accenture focused on securing production code from AI-driven threats. Software is getting built faster which means the attack surface is scaling faster too and security has to keep up.
