@realRubenSim roblox actually thinks the players are so stupid that they’ll release their worst safety update under the guise of privacy meanwhile they partnered with persona (the company that’s been litigated over how it handles biometrics) to face scan millions of kids

I spent the past two years building a team dedicated to identifying predators and groomers on the platform. We've found over half a million and counting. This change prevents developers from banning them from their games. This update will break cross-game data stores, including ban lists. Safety systems like EASI identify accounts through user IDs. If that ID isn't consistent across games, our system can't identify them. Everyone needs to speak out against this.

Roblox games will no longer use global User IDs, instead users will now be given a new User ID unique to each game they join.

A major engine change is being made to Roblox. It's forward compatible with existing API usage, but it appears UserId is being deprecated in favor of a new DataType called 'User' Several class functions have been updated to use this new `User` type instead of `number`.

Roblox is testing a new in-game side bar that combines the existing main menu and dropdown controls menu into one. You can move your avatar around even when this new menu is open.
